AOH principles – Friendship, Unity, and Catholic Charity
AOH Objectives and Goals
Irish History – Providing history, context, and scholarship in Irish History
Promoting Irish Culture – Dance, Music, Literature, Sports
Immigration Reform – Work to achieve a meaningful and equitable reform of US immigration law and policy
Peaceful Irish Reunification – Promote inter Irish dialog and make progress to tear down walls of oppression and distrust, the AOH is a great source of news on this front. Justice and transparency regarding the period of the Northern Ireland “Troubles” Catholic Action – The AOH got started in part to protect the Church and the Irish from intolerance and attack. We remain a Catholic focused organization and promote Vocations. However
Charity – The AOH has broad charity goals, our division has donated almost $10,000 to Churches, Schools, Vocations, Catholic and Hibernian Charities, Homeless shelters, pro life organiztions, etc.
Anti Defamation – The Irish Catholic has been and remains the subject of defamatory treatment. We call this out and reject such stereotypes where they are found. Every human regardless of faith, ethnicity, and origin deserves respect.
